Dairy-free, soy-free probiotic fruit drink
We’ve been talking a lot about probiotics lately. Our feature story “Get Cultured” in the January issue was all about them and what they can do for you. This week, we got to sample GoodBelly, the latest probiotic drink to hit the refrigerated aisle. These nutrient-dense drinks are dairy-, soy-, and wheat-free (for those of us with intolerances) and come in 2.7 oz. shots that contain a purported 20 billion active cultures plus healthy doses of a score of vitamins and minerals. And did I mention that the sweet-tart drink actually tastes great? I recommend the blueberry acai flavor. Do you have a favorite probiotic drink or supplement? Tell us what you think.

Hi
I am looking for probiotics for my 5 yr old. Can I give this drink to her. The ones in the store have dairy and soy.
Thanks,
HR

HI HR,
I checked with GoodBelly and the 2.7 oz. shots are actually formulated for adults. However, their newest 32-oz. quart-sized products—with the same probiotics and no soy or dairy—are formulated for the entire family, available in Mango, Black Current, and Watermelon/Cranberry flavors.
Hope this helps!
